This place is visually appealing with lovely decorations, making it a perfect choice for a stay.

The hotel was very nice, the staff very friendly and (at least the breakfast) very good (the dinner was too expensive for us at 33, - € per person, especially since there are wonderful restaurants in Freiburg, where we ate consistently cheaper). The direct access from the hotel to the mineral spa was also very advantageous (you could walk there in your bathrobe), and we were able to "wellness" in the spa and sauna area and forget everyday life for a few hours.

Unfortunately, it was not possible to receive treatment (manual back therapy or lymph drainage) in this health resort (neither in the hotel nor in the Mooswald Clinic), as this is no longer possible (regardless of money) without a doctor's prescription. Neither did we find a doctor there who could have given us a prescription, nor would we have been able to get a treatment appointment (even with a prescription), as everything was fully booked. It was also unpleasant that we never met anybody in the wellness area of the hotel, there was only a telephone number available for making an appointment. And we still belong to the generation that prefers a personal consultation.

Located near Keidel Mineral-Thermal baths. Nice dinner and breakfast, though a bit pricey. Easy access to spa. Short drive to Freiburg and Black Forest villages. Pleasant stay, charming location in nature. Family-friendly with access to therapy clinic and pools. Eco-friendly toiletries. Spacious room with forest views. Comfy beds. Decent wifi. Varied breakfast. Impressive outdoor activities. Helpful staff with spa connections.

The location set in the woods is gorgeous and very peaceful. Its close enough to other cities to enjoy day trips. The staff was very helpful and friendly. During breakfast, the waiters were all very friendly and made sure to talk to the children as well, including my infant daughter. During dinner one evening, I watched a waiter get crayons, paper, and a small puzzle for a young girl (about 4) and help her put the puzzle together when he was not assisting the adult customers.

The room was small than we expected but a typical European room. The website says that the hotel has pools, but really the pools are part of the neighboring building and can be accessed through a long corridor from the hotel. BUT-we were not aware beforehand that we would have to pay to use the pools. The pools were wonderful, including the heated outdoor pool, but it was frustrating to have to pay for the use since we were already paying for the room. Internet was pricey as well and we were not given information about how it actually worked until the second time we had to ask for it.

The hotel is in an excellent location in the woods and is especially convenient if you travel by car. Nearby is a large thermal complex . The city center is 7 km away and can be reached by public transport, taxi costs about 25 euros.

The restaurant and food situation is depressing. Breakfast for 18 Euros is very good for Germany and no questions to him. Lunch and dinner is a complete failure. The menu is ill-conceived, very short for the hotel restaurant. There is a claim to high cuisine, but it is unfounded absolutely . If you live in the hotel and come organized groups then with dinner in general problems, can just refuse to eat!!!! ... if you do not book a table in advance (this is the first time I met) In general, not once I have not seen a restaurant manager, waiters are good if you do not get on the trainee. Reception works fine, but without much affability, clean rooms are normal.

Wonderful location here, nestled between France and Germany. There's a gym and a large pool on-site - great for staying active during your stay! 🏋️‍♂️

The room was functional, had a lovely view on the green garden and forrest. The location was good for weekend in Freiburg im Breisgau. By the way, a wood and a communal garden were next to the place.

The suites at Dorint Thermenhotel Freiburg are amazing! They have a cozy living area, a spa-like bathroom with a raindance shower and a bathtub with underwater lights. The spaciousness of the rooms gives me the perfect space to relax and unwind. As a traveler who values comfort and luxury, these suites truly deliver.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the view from the double rooms. But hey, it's just my opinion.

We had a fantastic stay at this 4-star hotel. The location in the quiet forest just outside of the city was absolutely perfect for us. It was so peaceful and serene, and the green surroundings were a breath of fresh air. The staff here were so friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The service was top-notch, with room service, dry cleaning, and bicycle hire available. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed, with all the amenities we could ask for including an in-room safe, mini-bar, and a lovely sitting area. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet every morning, which had a wide range of choices.

We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.
